February 11: Annual Library Tasting
Our annual library tasting and sale is a part of our commitment to aged wine and the proof-text for why we build Pinot noir that way. Come taste these beauties!
Part 1, 10:30 am to noon: Vertical tasting (2003 to 2008) with owner/winemaker Jim Prosser
A sit-down tasting for those of you who want a little more … more information about Oregon’s vintages and the ability to taste them side-by-side, more back stories about how the wines were made and the components that make them distinctive, and more banter from the winemaker himself. We’ll make it fun and informative. $20, seating is limited, reservations required (contact Linda, 503-554-0721, ext 2).
Part 2, noon to 4 pm: Valentine's Library Tasting
We’ll taste a current offering and then step back in time with some exquisite library selections, accompanied by delectable nibbles. February 25th: Whole Foods store tasting
Jim pours Saturday afternoon at Whole Foods' Pearl location. Stop in to sample current Pinot offerings and give Jim some grief. 3 pm to 6 pm, Whole Foods, 1210 NW Couch St., Portland, 97209, 503.525.4343.
February 28: Classic Wines Auction winemaker dinner series
Jim Prosser of J.K. Carriere and Caleb Foster and Nina Buty-Foster of Buty Winery (Walla Walla) are your hosts for a winemaker dinner at Irving Street Kitchen. Benefiting charities include Metropolitan Family Services, New Avenues for Youth, Friends of the Children - Portland, and YWCA Clark County. March 2: Tasting room opens for the season!
